Prone to Wander NFT Collection

Prone to Wander by Cindy Head

"Prone to Wander" is a painting by Cindy Head from May 2015. It is inspired by the Parable of The Lost Sheep from the Bible. In the New Testament, Jesus illustrates God's love for us, using a parable about  a "Lost Sheep". He says, "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? This painting has 100 squares, each with a little sheep wearing Converse tennis shoes, (good for running away), and each has a numbered heart necklace from 1-100. You'll notice that one square is empty, but for the numbered necklace.

There was a high resolution scan made of her painting before it was sold to a collector in Minnesota. From that scan, many products were produced using the "Prone to Wander" name. There were jigsaw puzzles, T-shirts, cutting boards, coffee mugs, and many other items. Each of the squares in this painting are little whimsical works of art all to themselves. The 100th square is missing a sheep because, of course, he ran away!

• We have created a Limited Edition NFT Set of all 100 sheep, available on OpenSea. An NFT is a non-fungible token and is bought, sold and traded as crypto art, using crypto currency. We gave all 100 sheep in this NFT Set an individual frame and digitally enhanced then with some poster edge effects.  THERE ARE ONLY FIVE (5) SETS POSSIBLE of the NFT VERSION, as only 5 of each numbered sheep was minted. We hope they will be collected for years to come!
